Counseling Philosophy
My therapeutic practice includes the use of humor and heart as well as education and a considerable amount of life experience. Laughter can be, and often needs to be, a part of healing. I believe that within each person lies the means to achieve healing and satisfaction—but many of us have gotten alienated from that still, small voice within that knows exactly what we need.
Counseling can aid in turning down the external noise and removing blocks to accessing that inner knowledge and wisdom. I draw from many counseling theories, including Positive Psychology, Humanistic & Rogerian, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and many others as needed and appropriate.
